A 5 issue mini-run of the new Iron Fist, not Danny Rand but a young man named Lin Lie.
0/10 on the crymeter. It’s a feel good story about personal growth, friendship, taking on titles that seem too big, and finding yourself again.
This was written by Alyssa Wong, and I’m a big fan of their writing. They just get it, and although Lin Lie has only passed through the hands of a few writers since his original conception by Gunji, Alyssa Wong’s characterization hits home.
“The sword of Fu Xi is my duty. My identity. What good is a sword master without his sword?”
The original/A-covers of the 2022 Iron Fist run, illustrated by Michael YG and colored by Jay David Ramos.
I recommend this if you are fan of Lin Lie and pretty art, because this is gorgeous. Not too heavy on the story though, and that’s okay because of its length as a run.
